About Us
We are the VL church in Brno, Czech Republic
We are a young church, but we love God's Word very much and actively share the Gospel with others. Our church gathers every Sunday, where we can all praise our God together, be in fellowship, rejoice and with simplicity of heart with other people, brothers and sisters, in prayer and of course in our cozy cafe over a cup of good coffee!
How did the VL church in Brno begin? History, development and goals of God's light in Brno!
"46. And daily continuing with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they did take their food and praise God, having favour with all the people. And the Lord was adding to the church daily those who were being saved." - Acts 20:11.
The Beginning
In early 2021, one young family, recently moved to Czech Republic. They wanted to serve God, but at that time there was no community yet and they decided to start developing the church with home groups! At first, it was very difficult - a new country, no acquaintances, work and many other difficulties... The first group was literally built from meeting people on the street, then inviting them for tea and further Bible study. And this continued for a year.
Church Beginning
2021-2023 were not easy years, however, that's when the first fruits appeared! People started accepting God into their hearts and there was a need to gather together, and that's when the Pastor with his wife were able to find the first venue. It wasn't big, about 15-25 people could gather. We praised God with just one speaker. The time was challenging, there were difficult moments, but church grew, musical instruments were purchased, the first worship team appeared and God's Word continued to be preached in the city of Brno!
Church Today
2023-2026. Now the VL church in Brno does what the Bible calls us to do - preach the Word! We achieve this through many factors: atmospheric service, inspiring worship, good and quality sermons, through the disciple-making process - two home groups per week and one study after service! Youth meetings, street evangelism, conferences, camps!
Based on our church, there is also a Bible school "Precept" to grow new leaders and deeply study the Holy Scripture.
We are called to be a light - and we actively work on what God calls us to do!
